The MASBO Positive Impact Mini-Grant Fund was established to provide a positive impact in Massachusetts communities by supporting educational or recreational projects or programs that directly support students in member’s communities. Using resources of the organization (not including member fees), as well as corporate and private sponsorships, the MASBO Fund makes contributions through grant awards to support vital programs in art, music, drama, sports, science, field trips, technology and much more. The Fund is not intended to support disaster relief activities, nor supplant the obligation of a community to provide required infrastructure or essential supplies/services commonly provided by a Massachusetts school district.
In making financial grants available to organizations, the MASBO Positive Impact Mini-Grant Fund criteria include submissions that:
- are consistent with MASBO's mission;
- impact the school district or community organization;
- reflect an effective and timely implementation plan for the proposed project or program;
- incorporate responsible leadership and management of the proposed project or program;
- connect to a previously funded MASBO Research Project (i.e. Smart Budget, Drop Out Prevention, Early Childhood).
