  • School Building Assistance Act Fact Sheet. The School Building Assistance Fact Sheet is designed to help communities understand and participate in a state funded reimbursement program for construction, renovations, and major additions.
  • School Building Assistance Application Process. The School Building Assistance Application Process is a step-by-step that guides school officials through each aspect of this program. Data includes information about prioritization of projects, data gathering requirements, the application and approval process, etc.
  • School Building Assistance Regulations. School Building Assistance Regulations, Chapter 645, The Acts of 1948, as amended provides detailed regulations for this state-sponsored reimbursement program. Information includes: authority and scope, definitions, general requirements, site standards, program standards, cost standards, major reconstruction projects, regional buy-in grants, emergency reconstruction grants, application procedures, grant awards, payment requirements, procedures, and waivers.

  • American Schools and Universities. American Schools and Universities is a "must see" site as it is loaded with information that school business officials, facilities directors, and other school and municipal officials will find helpful. Links are categorized into research, the industry, the magazine, awards and competitions, shows and events, advertising information, and links. Information provided includes industry news, buyer's guide, news groups, new products, article archives, an official education construction report, maintenance and operation cost study, and architectural portfolio.
  • R.S. Means Construction Page. The book is now available online. You will find useful construction information resources, construction related interest sites, 16 free software demos with demo source, astounding tips, and more.
  • Construction News Services. Construction News Services for the latest and up-to-date construction news.
  • Solstice. Solstice is a site that provides a wealth of information about energy efficiency, including links to general information, appliances, case studies, solar energy, mailing lists, keyword search, and links to many other sites. It also includes links to sites that provide software titles: School Energy Doctor and Back to School, a lightly audit software program.
  • Facilities Management. The Facilities Management site provides a listing of numerous home pages--mostly colleges and universities--dealing with facility and plant resource issues. It also provides data on lighting, real estate issues, and U.S. Government facility related issues.

  • Massachusetts Regional Hazardous Materials Response. The site has information about assembled personnel, equipment, and responses to enable communities and protect the public, the environment, and property damage incidents involving a release or potential release of hazardous materials.
  • The Carpet and Rug Institute. This site is one that represents the carpet and rug industry. Here you can access data including: care and maintenance, today's carpet trends, the carpet and the environment, etc.

  • Massachusetts DOE Educational Technology Integration Services (ETIS). ETIS is a new system to streamline the process by which public schools and libraries obtain educational technology goods and services. It is a statewide blanket contract for educational technology. ETIS fully complies with M.G.L. c. 30b.
  • Massachusetts Local Government Outreach. This site's mission is to provide assistance and information to local government entities on statewide blanket contracts. A list of current blanket contracts is available online. They also provide information on the use of Comm-PASS and any other issue where they can assist political subdivisions in dealing with OSD.
  • NIGP - National Institute of Governmental Purchasing. This is an excellent site for the latest developments in purchasing around the country. This site also contains information on bid specifications submitted from around the country by public purchasing officials. Some of this information can be accessed for free. The institute does have a fee involved and some information you can only gain access to through the use of a password.
  • Commonwealth Procurement Access System. Comm-PASS allows businesses easy access to all of the information necessary to bid on many state contracts.
