MASBO Professional Development Activities

Bi-Monthly Meetings

These half- to full-day luncheon meetings held in Milford, Massachusetts provide engaging presentations from leading experts on important current topics in school business administration, as well as opportunities for problem-solving and networking with school business officials from around the state. They are held in September, December, and February of each year.

Fall Institute

The Fall Institute is a full day session in November based on a single theme, and provides opportunities to delve deeply into one topic. Past Fall Institutes have featured substantive, interactive, and comprehensive analysis and practice supported by the Rennie Center and Edventures.

Trade Show

The MASBO Trade Show, held annually in March, offers school business administrators a chance to connect with solutions providers to help solve procurement challenges, engage in thoughtful content presentations, and network with peers.

Law Institute

The Law Institute is held each April, and provides legal analyses and updates of recent court rulings on pertinent laws, regulations, and best legal practices related to school business management. MASBO's legal counsel also updates business officials on current and pending legislation and its impact on school administration.

Annual Institute

This three-day conference is held mid-May from Wednesday through Friday on beautiful Cape Cod, and features recognized authorities with lectures and discussions on timely topics as well as time to engage in team-building and networking. It also includes the Annual Meeting of the membership. A separate, full-day intensive Pre-Conference on Tuesday allows attendees access to specialized training that can be difficult to obtain during other association events or from other providers.
